Charlene Hickson, MD
Dr. Hickson is a Board Certified Otolaryngologist and has been working in Pueblo, Colorado since August of 2001. She received her undergraduate degree in Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in 1986. She then earned her Medical Degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in 1995 and then her General Surgery Residency, followed by her Residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX in June of 2001.

She is married to Lance Farnworth, MD an Orthopedic Surgeon at Pueblo Bone and Joint Clinic. They have 3 children, the youngest 2 adopted, one from China and the other from Ethiopia.
Esperanza Salazar, MD
Dr. Salazar, born and raised in Alamosa, is excited to return to Southern Colorado. She is a general otolaryngologist and treats the full spectrum of ear, notse, and throat problems in both children and adults. Her clinical interests include ear disease and dizziness, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, allergic rhinitis, endoscopic sinus surgery, head and neck tumors, and obstructive sleep apnea.
Dr. Salazar was a recipient of the prestigious Boettcher Scholarship. She completed her undergraduate studies at Colorado Collegein Colorado Springs where she graduated cum laude in 2004. She went on to receive her medical degree at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society her senior year. She completed residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston Texas. As a senior she was elected administrative chief resident. She is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Salazar enjoys running, hiking, cooling and spending time with her husband Adam.
